So, ya girl has decided to embark on a nursing school journey! This decision didn’t come easy or lightly. But it’s something that I feel has been resting on my heart for a while.
I was originally a nursing major during my freshman year of college. But at the time I didn’t feel like nursing was for me. I was scared to care for others, scared to make mistakes. Scared for the curriculum and most of all scared that I was making the wrong decisions.
At the time, I was confused about my path in life, and I felt like nursing was so final. Like once you became a nurse that was it. But after some growing pains and life lessons, I’ve come to the realization that nursing is in fact for me. I do have a passion for helping others and I can pass the classes.
So what now? Well, I explain how exactly I will become nursing in the Youtube video below! Long story short, I will do an ASN (associate nursing program). Then transfer to a one-year bridge program to get a BSN. Then I will be off to get my Family Nurse Practitioner degree.
I’ve got big dreams with this nursing thing, and I’m so excited to share my journey to FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) with you all!
